Maharashtra Signs Reform-Linked MoU under Jal Jeevan Mission 2.0

The Ministry of Jal Shakti and the State of Maharashtra have signed a reform-linked Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) 2.0, aiming to enhance rural drinking water supply. The agreement focuses on service delivery, structural reforms, and community participation to ensure sustainable and reliable tap water access to every rural household. This initiative, supported by the Union Government, also seeks to integrate water conservation and governance at the community level. By 2028, JJM 2.0 aims to establish a sustainable model for rural water services aligned with the national vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.
