During her visit to the under-13 league in Guwahati, she highlighted the growth of women's football in the North-East and the government's commitment to enhancing sports opportunities for women. With over 53,000 participants in 550 leagues across 27 sports disciplines, the initiative aims to scout and nurture talent at the grassroots level, targeting 70,000 women athletes in the upcoming year.
