Mass Singing of ‘Vande Mataram’ Marks 150 Years Celebration

On November 7, 2025, officials from the Union Sports Ministry and the Sports Authority of India participated in a mass singing of the national song ‘Vande Mataram’ at the SAI Headquarters in New Delhi. The event, attended by Minister of State for Sports Smt. Raksha Khadse, was part of nationwide celebrations marking the 150th anniversary of the song, which was originally penned by Shri Bankim Chandra Chatterjee. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the celebrations, emphasizing values of patriotism and unity. This event is the start of a year-long commemoration from November 7, 2025, to November 7, 2026.
