MDL Signs MoU with Tamil Nadu for Greenfield Shipyard Development

Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Tamil Nadu Government to develop a world-class greenfield shipyard on India's eastern coast. The MoU was signed on September 19, 2025, under the Maritime Amrit Kaal Vision 2047 initiative. The signing ceremony took place in Bhavnagar, Gujarat, with key officials from both MDL and the Tamil Nadu Government present.
