MeitY Workshop on Standardizing Notices to Intermediaries
The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) held a workshop on October 7, 2025, to address the challenges of unlawful information on digital platforms. Secretary Shri S. Krishnan emphasized the need for standardized notices under Section 79(3)(b) of the IT Act to ensure clarity and consistency. The workshop aimed to educate participants on key IT Act provisions and promote responsible digital governance. Experts from various government departments participated to develop a consensus on drafting qualitative notices, enhancing effective implementation across the government.
