Milestone for Indian Coast Guard with New Vessels
The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) marked a significant milestone with the keel laying of the second Fast Patrol Vessel (FPV) and the plate cutting of the fifth FPV at Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited, Mumbai, on October 30, 2025. Additionally, girder laying ceremonies for two Air Cushion Vehicles (ACVs) were held in Goa. The FPVs and ACVs are part of India's initiative to enhance maritime security and are designed with advanced technologies, including AI-based systems and indigenous components, aligning with the vision of 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat'.
