Milk Processing Centres in Bihar

The Government of India, through the Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying, is implementing the National Programme for Dairy Development (NPDD) to enhance milk processing infrastructure in Bihar. The NPDD has two components: one focuses on improving quality testing and chilling facilities, while the other aims to boost sales and market access for dairy products. Despite no projects submitted for Koshi-Seemanchal, several initiatives have been sanctioned to strengthen the dairy sector in Bihar, including new chilling plants and expansions of processing capacities. Various schemes are also in place to support dairy cooperatives and enhance milk production, ultimately benefiting farmers' incomes.
