Mineral and Non-Ferrous Metal Production Growth in FY 2025-26
The Ministry of Mines reports continued growth in the production of key minerals and non-ferrous metals in FY 2025-26, following record levels in FY 2024-25. Iron ore production increased by 0.6%, manganese ore by 1.4%, bauxite by 0.9%, zinc concentrate by 3.7%, and limestone by 1.6%. In the non-ferrous sector, primary aluminium production grew by 1.3% and refined copper by 43.5%. India remains a leading producer of these minerals, indicating strong economic activity in sectors like steel, energy, and construction.
