Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers Details Initiatives in Pharmaceutical Sector
The Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, through the Department of Pharmaceuticals, is actively promoting infrastructure development in the pharmaceutical sector across India. No provision exists for Bulk Drug Parks under the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) schemes; however, a separate scheme for the Promotion of Bulk Drug Parks is underway, with facilities being developed in Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, and Himachal Pradesh. Additional initiatives include the Promotion of Medical Devices Parks and various PLI Schemes to boost domestic manufacturing and innovation in pharmaceuticals and medical devices.
