The Ministry of Coal has issued a Letter of Award to Kartikay Vayunandana Private Limited for a coal-to-acetic acid project in Gadchiroli, Maharashtra, under the Financial Incentive Scheme for Promotion of Coal/Lignite Gasification Projects. The initiative, which falls under Category III of Round II, is part of a wider ₹8,500 crore scheme aimed at promoting coal gasification in India. The project represents a significant investment of ₹793 crore and aims to produce 75,900 TPA of acetic acid, reinforcing India's push towards self-reliance and efficient coal use.
