Ministry of Coal Launches 13th Round of Commercial Coal Mine Auctions

The Ministry of Coal has successfully launched the 13th Round of Commercial Coal Mine Auctions in New Delhi, aiming to enhance India's energy security and domestic coal production. The event was attended by key officials, including Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy, who highlighted India's achievement of surpassing one billion tonnes of coal production. The auction introduces 14 coal blocks, promoting private sector participation and cleaner coal utilization through technologies like Underground Coal Gasification (UCG). The initiative is expected to attract investments, create jobs, and contribute to sustainable development in the coal sector.
