Ministry of Coal to Launch 14th Round of Commercial Coal Mine Auctions

The Ministry of Coal is set to launch the 14th Round of Commercial Coal Mine Auctions on October 29, 2025, in New Delhi, with Union Minister Shri G. Kishan Reddy as the Chief Guest. This initiative aims to enhance transparency, competition, and self-reliance in India's coal sector, following the successful auction process initiated in 2020. The upcoming auction will introduce provisions for Underground Coal Gasification (UCG) and will also launch two digital platforms, CLAMP and Koyla Shakti, to streamline operations and improve efficiency in the coal industry.
