Ministry of Coal's Efforts to Reduce Import Dependency

The government aims to enhance domestic coal production through legislative amendments, a single-window clearance system, and modern technologies in mining. The target is to achieve 1.5 billion tonnes of domestic coal production by FY 2029-30, significantly reducing imports and saving foreign exchange.
