The Ministry of Communications has introduced a secure Digital Intelligence Platform (DIP) to enhance information sharing among stakeholders to prevent cyber-crime and financial fraud. The initiative includes the development of a Financial Fraud Risk Indicator (FRI) to help banks and service providers identify high-risk mobile numbers. The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) is also actively engaging with citizens to raise awareness about telecom-related frauds through various initiatives, including the Sanchar Saathi App and volunteer programs.
