Ministry of Cooperation Boosts Cooperative Societies in West Bengal

The Ministry of Cooperation reported a total of 32,128 cooperative societies in West Bengal, 22,953 of which are operational, according to the National Cooperative Database. Since its inception in 2021, the ministry has launched initiatives like the PACS Computerisation Project, aimed at enhancing transparency and service delivery, and the 'White Revolution 2.0' to boost the milk supply network. Financial backing through NCDC and capacity-building programs via NABARD underline efforts to strengthen these cooperatives.
