The Ministry of Cooperation is leading a significant drive to enhance the role of cooperative societies and banks in expanding insurance outreach, aiming to reach the goal of 'Insurance for All by 2047'. This initiative enables cooperative banks to distribute insurance products, especially in rural and semi-urban areas, by registering as Corporate Agents. The program also focuses on digitization and capacity building, with over 52,000 Primary Agricultural Credit Societies functioning as Common Service Centres.
