Ministry of Cooperation Launches Schemes for Women Cooperatives

The National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) has introduced two key schemes aimed at empowering women cooperatives: the Swayamshakti Sahakar Yojna, which provides financial services and credit access to women Self Help Groups (SHGs), and the Nandini Sahakar scheme, which focuses on capacity development and financial assistance for business activities. Over the past three years, NCDC has disbursed a total of Rs. 3504.4 crore to women cooperatives, with significant amounts allocated to various states for infrastructure projects.
