Ministry of Cooperation's Major Initiatives in the Cooperative Sector

The Ministry of Cooperation, established under the leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and guided by Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah, has launched various initiatives since its formation in 2021 to strengthen the cooperative sector in India. The ministry's actions span economic strengthening, taxation relief, policy formulation, and digitalization efforts. Key initiatives include the computerization of Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS), launch of the world's largest grain storage program, cooperative export societies, and various fiscal and policy decisions aimed at benefitting cooperative societies.
