Ministry of Defence Signs Rs 1,476 Crore Deal with Bharat Electronics Limited

The Ministry of Defence of India has entered a contract valued at Rs 1,476 crore with Bharat Electronics Limited for the acquisition of five Ground-Based Mobile Electronic Systems. These systems, which are required to have a minimum of 72% indigenous content, will modernize the Indian Army and bolster India's indigenous defence manufacturing capabilities. This agreement aligns with the Government's Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Make-in-India initiatives under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
