Ministry of Earth Sciences and Government of Puducherry Partner for Blue Economy

The Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES), Government of India, and the Department of Science, Technology and Environment, Government of Puducherry have signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to boost the blue economy and enhance coastal resilience in Puducherry. The MoU focuses on six strategic areas, including sustainable marine fisheries, offshore wind energy, desalination, ocean climate advisory, coastal management, and marine spatial planning.
