Ministry of Finance Launches Krishi Sakhi Initiative
The Agriculture Insurance Company of India Limited has launched the Krishi Sakhi Initiative to empower women in the agriculture sector. Recognized as the ‘International Year of the Woman Farmer’ by the United Nations, 2026 will see a series of activities promoting women's participation in agriculture and crop insurance, aiming to achieve inclusive growth. Activities include awareness campaigns, Walkathons, and ground-level workshops, with the initiative ongoing throughout the year.
