Ministry of Food Processing Industries Updates on PPP and Schemes

The Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) does not support food processing projects under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) model. Instead, it is implementing two key schemes: the Pradhan Mantri Kisan SAMPADA Yojana (PMKSY) and the Production Linked Incentive Scheme for Food Processing Industry (PLISFPI). These schemes are demand-driven, inviting applications through Expression of Interest (EoI). MoFPI has approved food processing projects in Karnataka, including a tomato cluster in Kolar and Chikkaballapura districts, with financial assistance provided to entrepreneurs for establishing processing infrastructure.
