The Ministry of Heavy Industries is implementing the Production Linked Incentive scheme called the 'National Programme on Advanced Chemistry Cell (ACC) Battery Storage', aiming to decrease dependency on imports and boost domestic manufacturing by establishing a 50 GWh capacity in India. Beneficiary firms, like M/s Reliance New Energy Battery Ltd., are incentivized based on subsidies and value addition achievements. The program supports technology integration and enhances manufacturing capabilities for local and international players.
