Ministry of Heavy Industries Supports Electric Vehicle Initiatives

The Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI) has rolled out several schemes to bolster electric vehicle adoption in India. These include the PLI Scheme for Automobile and Auto Component Industry, and the PLI Scheme for manufacturing Advanced Chemistry Cell batteries, each with significant budgetary support. Additionally, the PM Electric Drive Revolution in Innovative Vehicle Enhancement (EDRIVE) and PM e-Bus Sewa Payment Security Mechanism schemes contribute to improving the infrastructure and adoption of electric vehicles, including buses and public charging stations.
