The Ministry of Home Affairs, in collaboration with the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), has outlined comprehensive measures to tackle cyber incidents across various states and Union Territories in India. Recognized as the national agency for cyber security incidents, CERT-In has reported a significant increase in cyber incidents from 2021 to 2025, particularly noting the highest occurrences in the National Capital Territory of Delhi. The measures include issuing advisories, implementing automated cyber threat platforms, and conducting regular mock drills to enhance digital safety. Furthermore, the Ministry has released financial assistance to bolster the cyber forensics and training capabilities of state law enforcement agencies, along with launching new initiatives like the ‘National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal’ and the ‘CyTrain’ portal for judicial training.
