Ministry of Jal Shakti Reports High Functionality of Household Tap Water Connections

The Ministry of Jal Shakti, through its Department of Drinking Water & Sanitation, has conducted a comprehensive assessment of household tap water connections under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM). The results indicate that 98.1% of households in surveyed villages have access to tap connections, with 86.5% having functional taps, 80.2% receiving adequate water, and 76% meeting water quality standards. The assessment was carried out in 19,812 Har Ghar Jal villages across 34 States/UTs.
