Ministry of Jal Shakti to Launch National Campaign 'Jal Mahotsav 2026'
The Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India, is organizing "Jal Mahotsav 2026", a nationwide campaign, from 8 March to 22 March, emphasizing community participation in rural drinking water management under the Jal Jeevan Mission. Coinciding with International Women's Day, the event will highlight the role of women in water governance and will feature a range of activities across various states. The President of India will preside over the National Mega Event on 11 March at Vigyan Bhawan, recognizing grassroots efforts and fostering sustainable water management practices.
