Ministry of Mines Launches ‘Aspirational DMF Programme’

The Ministry of Mines, led by Union Minister G Kishan Reddy, has launched the ‘Aspirational DMF Programme’ to align District Mineral Foundation (DMF) initiatives with the Aspirational District Programme (ADP) and Aspirational Block Programmes (ABP). This initiative aims to improve socio-economic conditions in underserved regions of India. The launch took place at the National DMF Workshop in New Delhi, attended by various officials and stakeholders. The programme emphasizes community-centered activities and aims for 100% utilization of DMF funds to drive development in mining-affected areas. The event also included the inauguration of a DMF exhibition showcasing products from Self-Help Groups supported by DMF funds.
