Ministry of Mines Reviews ₹1,500 Crore Incentive Scheme for Critical Mineral Recycling

The Ministry of Mines, led by Secretary Piyush Goyal, reviewed the implementation of the ₹1,500 crore Incentive Scheme aimed at developing a 3 Lakh Ton annual recycling capacity for critical minerals. The scheme, part of the National Critical Mineral Mission, focuses on recycling materials from E-waste and spent Lithium-ion batteries. A significant number of beneficiaries have registered for the scheme, which is open for applications until April 2026. The Jawaharlal Nehru Aluminium Research, Development & Design Centre (JNARDDC) is acting as the Project Management Agency, facilitating stakeholder engagement and support throughout the implementation phase.
