Ministry of Minority Affairs Clarifies on Waqf Property Upload Deadline

The Ministry of Minority Affairs, led by Union Minister Shri Kiren Rijiju, has clarified that there is no extension for the Waqf property upload deadline on the UMEED Portal. The initial six-month deadline mandated by the Waqf Amendment Act has ended and cannot be extended due to legal provisions and Supreme Court directives. However, as a facilitative measure, no penalties will be imposed for the next three months. Those unable to meet the deadline can seek an extension through the Waqf Tribunal.
