Ministry of Minority Affairs Establishes Centres of Excellence for Heritage Languages
The Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India, is supporting universities to establish Centres of Excellence for the promotion of heritage and classical languages under the PMJVK. A National Seminar on 'Jainism and Indian Knowledge System' was held at Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore, marking the launch of its Centre for Jain Studies, funded with ₹27.16 crore. The initiative aims to integrate modern technology and AI in preserving and promoting heritage languages, safeguarding India's linguistic heritage.
