Ministry of MSME Boosts Employment via PMEGP and CHAMPIONS Portal

The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) has revealed that its Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) has significantly aided in establishing new micro-enterprises, with a notable impact in both manufacturing and service sectors. From 2020 to 2025, 63% of manufacturing and 93% of service projects under Rs. 10 lakh received support. The ministry also utilizes the CHAMPIONS portal to efficiently address grievances and provide support to MSMEs, enhancing their application of modern processes to increase output and capabilities.
