Ministry of MSME's Initiatives for Employment and Development

The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) has reported 28.73 crore employment through the Udyam Registration Portal from July 2020 to July 2025. Various government schemes, including the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme and the revamped Credit Guarantee Scheme, aim to promote and develop the MSME sector. Key initiatives include the launch of the Udyam Assist Platform, inclusion of retail and wholesale traders as MSMEs, and the establishment of the Self Reliant India Fund to support MSMEs with equity funding.
