Ministry of Panchayati Raj Enhances Digital Governance in Panchayats
The Ministry of Panchayati Raj has been implementing the Revamped Centrally Sponsored Scheme of Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan since FY 2022-23. This initiative aims to strengthen the governance capabilities of Panchayati Raj Institutions by providing training on e-governance and digital platforms like the e-Gram Swaraj Portal. In Uttar Pradesh alone, 2,61,263 individuals have undergone training, with significant efforts made to improve digital adoption and transparency. Evaluations show improvements in service delivery through digital interventions despite area-specific disparities.
