Ministry of Panchayati Raj Launches Panchayat Advancement Index for Localizing SDGs

The Ministry of Panchayati Raj has introduced the Panchayat Advancement Index (PAI) and the Suposhit Gram Panchayat Abhiyaan to foster the Localization of Sustainable Development Goals (LSDGs) at the grassroots level. The PAI is a tool designed to measure the incremental performance of Gram Panchayats across nine themes derived from the 17 SDGs, thereby enabling the identification of top-performing Panchayats for further incentives under various themes such as health, nutrition, and infrastructure.
