Ministry of Railways Boosts Rail Connectivity in Jammu and Kashmir with New Projects
The Ministry of Railways has prepared Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for doubling the Qazigund – Srinagar – Budgam line and creating a new line from Baramulla to Uri. These initiatives, along with the recently commissioned Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL), aim to enhance connectivity, employment, socio-economic conditions, and tourism in Jammu and Kashmir.
