The Ministry of Rural Development is preparing for a transition from the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) to the Viksit Bharat—Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) (VB-G RAM G) framework under the 2025 Act. This update, provided by Minister of State Shri Kamlesh Paswan in the Lok Sabha, assures that existing wage employment will continue for workers under the new act without disruption.
