Ministry of Science & Technology Presents National Mapping Data Initiatives

The Ministry of Science & Technology has announced the establishment of 1145 Continuously Operating Reference Stations (CORS) for improved real-time positioning services. In collaboration with the Survey of India, significant advancements include the development of a high accuracy Geoid model and a centralized Administrative Boundary Data Base (ABDB). These efforts align with international standards from bodies like ISO and BIS. The Union Budget (2025-26) has introduced the National Geospatial Mission to enhance the nation's geospatial infrastructure.
