Ministry of Textiles and NICDC Foster Development of PM MITRA Parks

The National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (NICDC) partnered with the Ministry of Textiles to hold a stakeholder consultation for the PM Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) Parks. This initiative aims to promote partnership opportunities under the PPP model for the parks' development and operation across India. Highlighted by budget allocations of over ₹5,567 crore and projected investments of ₹70,000 crore, the planned parks in Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, and Gujarat boast robust multi-modal connectivity and infrastructure. The parks are designed to support a comprehensive end-to-end textile value chain, integrating advanced industrial facilities for enhanced sector competitiveness. The consultation elicited positive feedback and significant interest from prospective developers and investors, indicating a promising future for India's textile industry transformation.
