Ministry of Textiles Approves 17 New Applicants under PLI Scheme

The Ministry of Textiles has approved 17 new applicants under the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for Textiles, aiming to boost investment and domestic manufacturing in the Man-Made Fibre (MMF) and Technical Textiles sectors. The approved projects involve a total investment of ₹2,374 crore, projected sales of over ₹12,893 crore, and the creation of approximately 22,646 jobs. The PLI Scheme, initiated in 2021, has been amended to enhance industry participation, with the application portal open until December 31, 2025.
