Ministry of Tourism Enhances Safety in Adventure Tourism

The Ministry of Tourism, in collaboration with the Adventure Tour Operators Association of India, has developed safety guidelines aimed at standardizing safety protocols across the Adventure Tourism sector in India. State Governments and Union Territories are primarily responsible for the promotion and development of adventure tourism, including adherence to the established safety guidelines. The Ministry does not maintain accident data or have a separate fund for the promotion of Adventure Tourism. The list of State-wise recognized Adventure Tourism Operators includes 77 operators across India.
