Ministry of Tourism Unveils National Strategy for Adventure Tourism
The Ministry of Tourism has launched a National Strategy for Adventure Tourism aimed at positioning India as a global leader in this sector. This strategy emphasizes the development of adventure destinations, enhancing safety, and building skills through educational initiatives like the Responsible Adventure Tourism Guide Course. In collaboration with the Adventure Tour Operators Association of India, the ministry has established safety guidelines for adoption across states to ensure a standardized safety protocol. Union Minister for Tourism and Culture Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat highlighted these developments in a statement to Lok Sabha.
