Ministry of Tribal Affairs Expands Coverage of PVTG Households in Odisha
The Ministry of Tribal Affairs, under the Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM JANMAN), has launched initiatives to enhance the infrastructure and living conditions for Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) in Odisha. Through the PM Gati Shakti application, data collection efforts aim to identify population figures and infrastructural gaps in villages and habitations. Various ministries are involved, focusing on housing, water supply, health, and connectivity. Notable progress includes the provision of pucca houses, mobile medical units, piped water to villages, and mobile connectivity enhancements.
