Ministry of Tribal Affairs to Launch National Programme for Tribal Healers

The Ministry of Tribal Affairs will host India's inaugural National Capacity Building Programme for Tribal Healers from January 16-17, 2026, in Hyderabad, Telangana, aiming to integrate tribal healers into the public health system. Additionally, a Memorandum of Understanding will be signed with the ICMR–Regional Medical Research Centre to establish the Bharat Tribal Health Observatory under Project DRISTI, marking a significant step in improving health outreach and research in tribal areas.
