Ministry of Tribal Affairs Updates on PM JANMAN Launch

The Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs, Shri Durgadas Uikey, announced in Lok Sabha that the Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha AbhiyaN (PM JANMAN) was launched on 15th November 2023, focusing on the socio-economic development of 75 Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTG) across 18 states and one Union Territory. The initiative includes several developmental interventions aimed at improving basic facilities such as housing, water, healthcare, and education for these communities. The Ministry is also undertaking data collection to assess the needs of the PVTG population in villages covered under PM JANMAN, including specific data from Odisha.
