Ministry Revamps 'Swadesh Darshan' for Eco-Sensitive Tourism

The Ministry of Tourism is promoting the sustainable development of tourist destinations through schemes such as the revamped 'Swadesh Darshan 2.0', focusing on eco-sensitive areas. The central government offers financial support to States and Union Territories for tourism infrastructure under various schemes including 'PRASHAD' and 'Assistance to Central Agencies'. This initiative aims to create responsible tourism destinations, particularly in ecologically sensitive zones and areas impacted by natural disasters. These efforts were highlighted by Union Minister Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat in a Rajya Sabha session.
