With a budget of ₹2,000 crore for 2024-2026, the initiative focuses on deploying next-generation radars and satellites, utilizing AI/ML for data-driven methods, and establishing a Decision Support System for effective weather management. This initiative will improve monitoring and forecasting of severe weather, benefiting tourism and reducing economic losses during adverse weather conditions.
