Mission Poshan 2.0: Strengthening Anganwadi Centres Across India

Mission Poshan 2.0, implemented by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, aims to combat malnutrition in India by transforming two lakh Anganwadi Centres into Saksham Anganwadis. These centers, located in government buildings, will be enhanced at a rate of 40,000 per year to provide improved nutrition and early childhood care and education. Additional infrastructure improvements include better facilities, increased funding for water and sanitation, and a new ICT tool, the Poshan Tracker, to monitor key nutritional indicators. Furthermore, guidelines have been established to co-locate Anganwadi Centres with government primary schools, supporting the National Education Policy 2020.
