Mission Saksham Anganwadi Enhances Safety Net for Workers

Mission Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0, under the Ministry of Women and Child Development, provides a comprehensive package of six critical services to eligible beneficiaries through Anganwadi Centres staffed by Anganwadi Workers and Helpers. The initiative enhances honorariums and provides additional benefits like technological tools and insurance schemes to improve service delivery and welfare of these workers. Recently, various steps have been undertaken to further incentivize and encourage these community workers, including the introduction of smartphones to aid in real-time monitoring, enhanced honorariums, and access to pension and insurance schemes.
