Mizoram Village Councils Receive ₹14.52 Crores in Untied Grants

The Union Government has released ₹14.40 crores as the second installment of Untied Grants under the Fifteenth Finance Commission for the financial year 2025-26, along with ₹0.1209 crores from the previous year. This funding will support 808 eligible Village Councils in Mizoram, addressing local needs as per the Eleventh Schedule of the Constitution. Earlier, ₹14.2761 crores were allocated for 827 councils in August 2025.
